TurboRead (“we”, “our”, or “the extension”) is a Chrome Extension designed to help users improve their reading speed and focus. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any personal information you may provide when using our extension.

By default, TurboRead does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).

However, if you use login features (e.g., signing in with email address), we may temporarily access the following:

• Email address or user ID from the authentication provider
• Your reading preferences (e.g., speed, mode, font size)

This data is used only to provide a personalized experience and is never shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate your identity (if login is required)

3. Local Storage

TurboRead uses Chrome’s local storage to save your settings. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

4. Permissions

TurboRead uses the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab, scripting: to inject the reading interface
• storage: to save settings locally
• host permissions: to function on chosen pages
• tabs: to identify the active tab

These are activated only in response to your interaction and not used to monitor activity.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method is 100% secure.
